"For many years ministers
and community leaders have been requesting training to assist them
inaccurately completing government applications for obtaining a tax exempt
status for non-profit organizations. We have brought you the training."
Dr. Normal Phillips
Dear Colleague:
Many of you have attempted to complete applications to obtain a tax-exempt
status and become frustrated due to the complexity of the guidelines. After
serious reflection and prayer, we are excited to present two training
seminars.
The "Catch the Spirit" Seminars I & II when taken together will increase
your knowledge and abilities. "Catch the Spirit" Seminars are different
from most seminars because they are "hands-on" workshops covering all
aspects of establishing a non-profit organization and preparing grant
proposals (writing grants, researching grants and negotiating with funding
sources). You will prepare the application forms and grant proposals during
the workshop classes. Furthermore, upon completion of both classes, You will
be able to submit your applications to the IRS and the grant makers within a
few days after the "Catch the Spirit" Seminars. Our goal is to assist you
in effectively starting tip your programs in local churches and communities
within a modest timeframe.
We have information about several grant opportunities. One funding source
will be offering $10 million in grants in the summer of 2000 to start
interfaith volunteer care giving projects in local communities throughout
the United States.
